Site maintained by Tesfa Rodway. Information primarily curated by Yafeu Rodway-Brown, who has also sourced and restored many of the photographs. This digital archive serves as an ongoing act of stewardship, recovering, organising, and preserving the primary sources and narratives of a lineage dedicated to public education and natural science, as well as grassroots empowerment and liberation.
This archive has been created to preserve the legacy and the stories of the Rodways and related families of Guyana. A special nod goes to the three surviving children of James Alwyn Rodway and Mavis Rodway, step-mothered by Valerie Rodway: Trevor Rodway, Phillis Rodway and Dr Cicely Rodway.
The site is dedicated to my sister Feyi Rodway (1975 – 2025), mother Diana (Diane) Matthews (nee Stewart, 1940 – 2023) and aunt Rosalie May Brown (nee Rodway, 1946 – 2025).
